FAQ

Is the listed fee what I will pay at the shop?

Not always. Some states publish a statutory maximum; shops may charge less, or may add repair work separately. Confirm before authorizing work.

Do failed inspections cost extra?

Many programs offer a free or reduced retest within a time window at the same station. Outside that window you may pay another full fee. See your state hub’s fail/retest section.

Are emissions fees included?

Usually not on this table. Safety and emissions can be billed separately when programs are separate.
